today i try to finish all the paper information that i had leaft to finish.. well i did finish and them i ask people around if they need it help from me or if it was something i could do..most of them said noo, so i went to the 3 floor and ask and they need it some one for translation.. and i said i could do it but i was kind of sacared because there's a lot of medical words that i do not know how to translate so that was kind of a chalenge for me but at the end it wasn't that hard.and that was my day.. not so bad..

today i was late because of the train, it sounds like it was my fould but it wasn't because the train had to stop the ATM claim that was because of the trafic.. we were soo mad..them 35 or 45 minutos later i got to my intership site and i explain my self,and i stared working rigth away i start organicing all the pacients pacients paper information and i also put them in alphaveticla order,it sounds easy but it not becuse the paper were divided into 30 folders which i had to organice and made hole pounches on it..and them to put in a huge binder...

today i when and ask to the secretaires if they need it charts for today or if they need it charts to go down, and like always they did so i got my car and when to medical records that's where the charts are and put them there, i also when to the mail room, next to the secutity office is and live them there and i keep down other stuff like helping the cecretaries to whatever they need it me.. because i am always abeliable..lol..that sounds good.. well is not.. but they are very nice..and they keep saying thanks..

today as always i when to look out for charts and x- rays,finaly i did somethimg exaitting well kind of what i did was to check some pacients with two pediatricians
and they expleim me what they basicly do on normal's day such as the regular examination..oooh and i got to check one of the doctors eair..trust me you eair is cooler than what you think.. it was pretty fun..lol..at list is better than look for charts and x-rays all the time..

How has the internship been the same as and/or different than your expectations?

My intership had change but in a good way because now i know mamny other people that i did not know thas great, also because i know many others things that i did not
i had no idea i could do. so everything has been great.

different about the culture of the school enviroment versus the work place enviroment? what new skills have you learned that apply to the workplace? What is similar?


Well is not very different because every body
is very nice like in school but also theres a lot of conflicts with the new ideas that are been made on the hospital but they made a lot of mittings and my mentor is in almost all of then. or i think she don't lose one..
What kind of relationship do you have with your mentor and cworkers? how have grown as a result of interacting with professional adults?

my relation ship with my mentor and coworkers is very good because they all very nice they ale\ways care about and gow school is going soo they are pretty cool. yes i have grown as the result of interacting with professional adults because now i behave more my self i know hen to stay quiet and how en when i can talk soo it has been a very good experience to work with profetional adults..


What challenges at the intership have you faced that you have overcome and how did you overcome them?

well most of my challenges is to talk to people and to understant what they wanrt to get done and to do it right..my tecnu\ike is to ask them again or just repiat what they said so that i can remenber it and doit in the right way..

What challenges have you faced in school as a result of the altered shedule and how are you handling them?

some of the chanllenges that i am facing is my homework because i feel that i dont have enought time for it but i am making some time for it so that i can get it done on time..

what goals are you working to acomplish during the remainder of the intership?

well one of my goals is to learn more about hospitals and the things that are being done on it and to get more involve, but i don't want to be involve with the pacitens because they are too much some of them are just too uncomfortable to talk to so i defenetly don' want that..

What new things have you learned about new york city?

i have leanr about the way's that epeople work in N.Y. i found out tha is very different to my ci\ountry because people are just too mean and faceisty to eacha oither and when you turn back they are talking about you but i also think that i could happen in every part of the world not only in nwe york.

today i didn't went to my intership, because i had the day off.. so i when to my friend gleny intership i help her out alot the give papers about information of medicaite and different inshurent copany or about any questions the custumers had it was very fun i learn different thing about it and what is her job about so it was very cool..is very diferent to my..

today i when to put the x-rays back on a roon that is just for it at the 6 floor, i also pick up some others x-rays, then i made phone calls to remaind pacients that they have a apointment on 4/4/2008 friday, whit doctor benbase that exaccly what i tell the pacient's, then i when to llok for charts like every day..

APRIL 1 DAILY POST

today i put the charts back to the file roon, i give some of then to one of the cecretary because she need it, i also made copies of some of the charts first pages because that had a important information about one pacient and the doctors result for it.i also look for more charts and put them in order like always and give it to the same people that i always do, most of the time i give it to viviana or abril they are personal cecretaris to different doctors the are incharge that tha charts are in order and ready..
